Become a Member of our Volunteer Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee
As a not-for-profit financial institution, our volunteer Board of Directors plays an integral role in our Credit Union. If you have a passion to make a difference and want to help others live vibrantly and fulfill their dreams, this is a great opportunity to be a part of RadiFi Credit Union (formerly JAX Federal Credit Union).
The purpose of the Board of Directors is to oversee the Credit Union’s strategic direction and to ensure it reaches its goals in the best interest of our membership. The Board meets once per month to review the progress of the credit union to ensure its success. Volunteers need to be willing and able to devote the time to serve.
Expectations of a credit union volunteer are:
- Believe in the credit union philosophy of people helping people
- Have a willingness to learn
- Attend periodic meetings with the Board of Directors or the supervisory committee
- Actively promote the credit union
- Be a team player and act in the best interest of the membership
As a volunteer of the Credit Union’s Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Credit Union’s Board of Directors and management establish practices and procedures to properly safeguard members’ assets. In addition, the Committee is responsible for the annual financial statement audit from a licensed, independent auditor.
